Dear Missionary Mothers,
Tonight we had the pleasure of having your
sons to dinner. They were great company and kept us entertained. We can
tell that they are great missionaries and we are thrilled to have them
in our area!
Elder M. is brand new to our ward....just
getting transferred here yesterday. With Elder Ehlers being here for a
little while. However this was our first time to have him over. (we
don't get the opportunity very often)
I asked
them what they missed most from home. Their answers both included their
moms. Elder M. mentioned missing his mama's mexican cooking...good
ol' carne asada (?) and homemade tortillas. Also wrestling with her!
Elder Ehlers misses his mom's voice and just being able to talk with
her. I thought that was very sweet! They are both looking forward to
Mother's Day and skype!!!
We have a son serving
in the Mexico Chihuahua Mission and a couple of times a mother has done
this for me and it made my week. So Happy Mothers Day! You can be proud
of your missionary sons! They are being a great representative of Jesus
Christ. We look forward to having them in our home again very soon!
Are
you part of the missionary mom email group? I am, and it has been a fun
experience. You might check it out. If you google missionary mom and
check out a site with ourldsfamily.com, that is how you can get
connected with moms in your son's mission.
Have a great week!
Julie B.
